Keep Your Pieces Clean
Keep Your Pieces Clean
The Cheapest and Most Efficient Way- Fill a ziplock bag (or a container with a lid) with equal parts rubbing alcohol and warm water and be liberal with the salt. Zip it up and give it a good shake. Let it sit for 30-60 minutes (or overnight for maximum clean) and then rinse. If there's still leftover residue, use a pipe cleaner to get the grime out.
Boiling Method - If you have a thick glass pipe or bong (keyword: THICK), then this might be an option for you. NOTE: DO NOT drop a cold pipe into boiling water, the heat difference can cause the pipe to break. Put the pipe in lukewarm water FIRST and then add the boiling water. Let the piece sit in the hot water for 15-30 minutes. Hopefully, this liquifies all the resin inside and rinses out as the water runs through it.
Silicone Pieces- Substitute alcohol for some dish soap. Using alcohol will take away from the overall life of a silicone piece. Below is a home-made cleaner that is safe to use:
The Freeze Method for the dirtiest of silicone pieces- Rinse your silicone piece and throw it in the freezer still wet. Once it’s been frozen for a few hours, start bending and squeezing the pipe. You’ll start to hear cracking sounds and the built up resin will (hopefully) fall off like an icicle.
